1. The service

Photo Metadata Remover (photometadataremover.bashige.com) is a free, browser-based utility that removes metadata such as EXIF, GPS, IPTC and XMP fields from image files. The service is provided “as is”, without account registration, on an as-available basis.

2. Permitted use

You may use the Tool for personal and commercial purposes, subject to these Terms. You agree not to:

• use the Tool for any unlawful purpose or to process materials you have no right to handle;
• attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer for malicious purposes, overload or scrape the website;
• misrepresent the Tool’s output as a legal or forensic guarantee;
• remove, obscure or alter copyright, attribution or proprietary notices;
• use automated means to access the service at scale without prior written permission.

3. Your files

You retain all rights to the photos you process. Because processing happens locally in your browser, we never receive, store or control your files. You are solely responsible for the content of the images you process and for having the right to use and publish them.

4. Intellectual property

The website’s design, text, graphics and code are owned by or licensed to Bashige and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, republish or resell the website as a whole. Open-source libraries used by the Tool remain under their respective licenses.

5. No warranty

The Tool is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that metadata removal will be complete for every file format or browser, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. You should always verify the output of any cleaned file before sharing it.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bashige shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, goodwill or privacy interests arising from or related to your use of the Tool — including claims arising from metadata that was not removed as expected or from third parties who obtain your files through other channels.

7. Advertising and third-party links

The website displays advertising (Google AdSense) and may contain links to third-party sites. We are not responsible for the content, products or practices of any third party. Your interactions with advertisers are solely between you and them.

8. Modifications and termination

We may modify, suspend or discontinue the Tool, in whole or in part, at any time without notice. We may update these Terms; the “Last updated” date reflects the latest version. Continued use after changes means you accept the new Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at our principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
