The short version: your photos never leave your device. All metadata removal happens locally inside your browser — we do not upload, store, copy or view your images. This policy explains the limited technical data involved in visiting this website and the advertising services it uses.

1. Who we are

This website (“the Tool”) is operated by Bashige and is available at photometadataremover.bashige.com. Questions about this Privacy Policy can be sent to bashigestudio@mail.ru.

2. Information we do not collect

Your photos and files. Images you select are read and re-encoded by your own browser. They are never transmitted to any server controlled by us.
Account data. There is no registration, login, or user profile of any kind.
Metadata extracted from your images. GPS coordinates, camera information and EXIF fields are processed in memory on your device and discarded when the tab is closed.
Payment data. The service is completely free; no billing information exists.

3. Information that is processed automatically

Like most websites, when your browser requests this page the following may be processed:

Server access logs (hosting provider): IP address, browser type, requested URL, date and time. These logs are used only for security, abuse prevention and aggregate traffic statistics.

4. How we use information

We use the limited technical data above solely to operate, secure and improve the Tool, to display advertising that finances the free service, and to comply with legal obligations. We do not use your data to build personal profiles, and we do not sell your personal information.

5. Third-party services

Google AdSense. Advertising is served by Google. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. You can manage personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings, and opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info/choices.
Open-source libraries. The EXIF parsing and ZIP libraries required by the Tool are bundled with the website itself; they are fetched from our own domain, not from a content delivery network.
External links. The content and FAQ may link to third-party sites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.

6. Your rights (GDPR and CCPA)

If you are in the EEA, UK or another region with data protection laws, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and to data portability. Because we do not receive your photos or account data, most requests concern server logs or advertising identifiers only. California residents have the right to know and delete personal information and to opt out of “sale” or “sharing” for targeted advertising — we do not sell personal information, and you can opt out of personalized ads through Google Ads Settings. To exercise any right, email bashigestudio@mail.ru; we respond within 30 days.

7. Data retention

Photos and metadata exist only in the memory of your open browser tab and disappear when you close it. Server access logs are retained by the hosting provider for a limited period (typically 30 days or less) for security purposes, then deleted or aggregated.

8. Children's privacy

The Tool is not directed at children under 13 (or the applicable minimum age). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. International transfers

This website is hosted globally and third-party services such as Google operate internationally. By using the Tool you acknowledge that technical data may be processed in countries other than your own, subject to appropriate safeguards where required by law.

10. Security

We rely on the browser sandbox and transport security (HTTPS) to protect data. Because your photos are processed locally, the strongest privacy guarantee is architectural: there is no upload step that could be intercepted.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top indicates the latest revision. Continued use of the Tool after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
